Ill Manors Synergy

Task 1: Analysis Of Ill Manors Official Film webpage(http://www.illmanors.com/#scene-3)


There are many features included in the website, this includes. The Trailer, Synopsis, Director - Ben Drew, Stills(of cast), Videos,, Buy now, Links, Reactions

The Trailer has been included in order to make the audience be attracted to the movie by this promotional video. It will be appealing to the audience as it is real clips of what happens in the movie, the trailer will allow the audience to know if they genuinely are interested in this movie - this can be be based on what genre they identify the movie to be/the story-line,  the actors/acting, setting, director ect. 

Synopsis is a short hand for audience for them to know a bit about the movie, consumers may want to know the story-line before they go on to watching it, as the story-line (exact reflection) can be what will appeal to them, therefore this is important as it is what gives away the story.

Ben Drew, who is the director has been used, as previous fans of his music may want to read about him, as this section is about him & his values, the singer, song-writer / director has been spoken about and quoted in order to bring in some more realism to the entire movie, it is more personal, 

Stills of people associated to the movie and cast have been shown in order to show the audience who is involved in the movie, as this maybe a reason why they will want to be involved with the movie

Videos of ''meet the cast'', if the audience know more about the characters and hear the values on the movie they will be more likely to want to watch this movie.  

Buy Now - The buy now section is for those that are interested in buying the movie or what I would have expected is merchandise etc. This is very simple, and is just a small section for those that have been persuaded to buy the movie.

Links - The links section follows personal and official Instagram/Twitter/Facebook etc. This allows fans/viewers to connect with the actors etc. on a more personal level. It gives them to opportunity to see what they are up to and what future plans are.

Reactions - The reactions sections includes all positive reviews from some of Ben Drew's friends who had also attended the premiere of the movie. Including well known singers/songwriters such as Ed Sheeran, Alesha Dixon, Tinie Tempah and more. There are also many other positive reviews written by magazines and newspapers, this is another technique used to persuade the audience that the film is definitely a must watch. The reactions were shown to the audience like so:





Albums - The albums section features various ways in which they can purchase the album/soundtrack. There is also a website on there that belongs to Ben Draw/Plan B.


Task 2: Watch the Jonathan Ross & Soccer AM show with Plan B and identify:

- the target audience (demographics / psychographics) & explain why.


- State which channel these shows were broadcasted on and when they were scheduled. 
The Jonathan Ross show with Plan B, was broadcasted on Saturday, 1st September 2012, at 9.55pm on ITV. The show was on REPEAT on Thursday 6th Sep 2012 (10:35pm, ITV)

Soccer AM with Plan B, was broadcasted on, Saturday Jan 9th 2010 at 10am on Sky Sports
(mainly men dominated)

-Mention what the audience appeal is i.e. what he speaks about
JONATHAN ROSS SHOW: The audience for this show using the demo-graphics are C1, C2, B, these are usually the successful and wealthy people. This is shown on a Saturday night, where most working class people will have their ''day off'', meaning they would want to be entertained. There is some swearing therefore it is viewed after pre-watershed timings, therefore it is mainly for younger people, however not too young, more specifically age group 16-34. The jonathan Ross show also involves political conversations, meaning its for an educated audience.





SOCCER AM- The target audience for this clip is a C2-D audience using demographics. This show mainly appeals to sport fans and in specific, footballer lovers - or generally, males. Soccer AM targets reformers as a lower demographic group would be anti-materialistic, but aware of good taste as reformers are using psychographics.

                       - How has Plan B been represented in each text - similarities &
                                                                differences 

Plan B tries to promote is values and himself as his brand in both shows, hoping to get fame from that, rather than making the show look like promotion, although that's what it is - he mentions his movie/album in both, however talks about his struggles making it, rather than how good it is. The Jonathan Ross show is more political, however soccer am is more general, and laid back.
